Project Based Learning from
Universities to Schools
Curious l Creative l Collaborative
Grades 6 to 12
Starting January 2022, Rhapsody will bring together the BEST KNOWN NAMES IN
HIGHER EDUCATION AND LEARNING, DIRECT TO SCHOOLS.
With curated projects in Creative Intelligence, students of selected schools get
to explore projects in different fields from Artificial Intelligence to Social Sciences,
Entrepreneurship to Design Thinking and many more.
These “Projects” will be done as short as 2-3 week engagements – like an internship –
but done in a group setting and specially designed given the academic time table.
Using these projects, a student from Class VIII upwards, typically gets to explore
st
different pathways and 21 century skills and courses.
These are projects with a hand-picked selection
of top Academics and Industry Leaders in the
World.

A lecture module will be given to students, done by the Institution or Academic,
that exposes students to the subject and area of study. Throughout the
project, Rhapsody’s Resource Team will help / guide / mentor students on
routine queries and doubts.
At the end of the group report submission, students get a CERTIFICATE OF
COMPLETION. This will be useful to the students for their higher studies given
the caliber and pedigree of Institutions and Academics involved.
The Top 10% of all projects will get a further special
commendation badge from the Institution / Academic
and a chance to present the project to key people
in the respective Institution.
What is a “Project”?
GOAL: Students will work in groups on a specific challenge, and submit a group
report or presentation (or video in some cases) through Rhapsody’s platform.
Why is This Essential?
What Does the School Do?
Project-Based Learning (PBL) Is now being introduced all over the world as a unique
way of exposing high schoolers to real-life challenges through case studies and working
in realistic settings as the best way to encourage Collaborative Learning, Creative
Intelligence and Higher Order Thinking Skills.
To expose high schoolers to higher education, and bridge the gap therein with G
real-world projects
To give students maximum reach in terms of areas of study, and an “Internship G
experience while still in high school enabling real-world exposure
G Providing Access to new and emergent fields”
G Developing Creative Intelligence
Select school partners will appoint a coordinator who
can then ensure that students from Class VIII upwards
register in groups for these projects.
A total of 10 projects have been planned.
Of these, we will roll out 3 projects for students
starting from January 25, 2022 and will go on until
February 25, 2022.

The idea that Education needs be approached in alternative ways, and bringing in Music and
Visual Art to approach other subject disciplines (interdisciplinary learning) has been met with
a lot of positivity and the mission has grown considerably.
Creative Intelligence

About
Set up by musician Anil Srinivasan, the mission has
grown to embrace 100+ private schools and 300+
government-run schools (thereby spreading the idea of
Arts-Integration across demographics).
Learning from the pandemic, Rhapsody has innovated
again and created Cocoon a proprietary platform for Art
Integrated Learning. The platform became functional on
June 23, 2021 and has already seen over 14,000 students
use it for their Rhapsody lessons as part of in-school
timetables.
Rhapsody has been at the forefront of Creative Intelligence
among schools for the past 8 years, largely specializing in
STEAM (STEM with Art Integration) for classes 8-12.

Innovation
Creative Intelligence is now becoming one of the most prized skills for education worldwide.
Thinking innovatively, solving problems collaboratively and in teams, and taking the best of
Arts and Design have all now been officially recognized as the future of education.
Whether it is understanding both the story and practice of music, or understanding the Data
Sciences in very innovative ways; Design Thinking with group and collaborative projects or
even studying STEM but through creative ways the future of education lies at combining
Arts and Sciences, Individual Work and Group Thinking, Passion and Practice.
While Rhapsody has focused on Art Integration and Artistic Creativity in its mission so far, the
need for Cognitive Creativity (or Creativity applied to scientic and logical disciplines),
Collaborative Creativity (Peer-Peer Project-Based Learning), Design and Innovation including
applications of Creativity in Technology are the ways forward.
This in itself is based on extensive research and study into the National Education
Policy (2020) and its objectives, and the goal of bringing children from across India’s
varied demographics towards their optimal potential.

Internationally acclaimed classical pianist and
academician, Anil Srinivasan is one of the leading voices
today in education. As an ideologue, he is a regular
keynote speaker across India and abroad.
After touring across the world for almost two decades
and having earned accolades and critical acclaim
aplenty, Anil Srinivasan set up Rhapsody 8 years ago,
with a singular intent of Art Integration in learning with
children in schools through a structured syllabi that is
both physical classroom learning as well as online
support. His unrelenting passion and dogged
determination to translate this dream into a reality that
truly impacts children, many from under-privileged
sections of society, has reached out to nearly 4 lakh
children from across India.
An academic, researcher, scholar and writer, Anil
Srinivasan wears his many hats with ease and conviction.
If music is the food for his soul, philanthropy is his
conscience keeper. Along with an active career in music
- he serves as a Director of The Peninsula Studios in
Delhi, that helps to record and archive independent
music - he also uses his instrument - piano - and his voice
- of music with a message - to significantly impact the
less privileged in our society. As a patron of
Gnanadarshan, a home for visually challenged women
in Chennai, in 2019, Srinivasan performed a series of
concerts, blindfolded and helped raise over Rs. 27
lakhs for the trust.
With an M Phil from Columbia University, Anil is the
recipient of the Kalaimamani, the highest award for the
Arts in Tamil Nadu, The Sangeet Natak Akademi award
for Creative and Experimental Music, the Educator
Extraordinaire from The Rotary Foundation and several
other awards.
Academically, Anil Srinivasan is a Vidya Mandir (Chennai)
alumnus. He is a Gold medalist in Economics from the
University of Madras, a Gold medalist from Mudra
Institute of Communications (Ahmedabad), a Beta
Gamma Sigma (Highest Academic Honors) from the
University of Southern California for his MBA and a
Columbia University Fellowship holder for his
doctoral studies.
When Srinivasan is not teaching collaborative creativity,
design thinking to his students at Krea University, or
writing thought-provoking pieces on music and
education for leading publications in India - The Hindu,
New Indian Express and Scroll just to name a few - he is
mentoring his team at Rhapsody that comprises of
teachers from across corners of south India, to
understand sharper and more seamless ways of
imparting Creative Intelligence to children.
During the 2015 floods, he initiated a campaign and
helmed a committed group of volunteers that raised over
$ 250,000 that went into building a school for displaced
children in Chennai. More recently, during the COVID-19
pandemic, his initiative, Play it Forward that brought
together musicians to perform and share their music on
the online platform, helped raise significant funds for
daily wage workers.
Anil Srinivasan is also the Brand Ambassador for CASIO
India, a leading manufacturer of the Keyboard
instrument and is also the Co-Founder of The Peninsular
Studios where he also designed the idea of Live @
The Peninsula Studios and Maestros, as a producer.
